大学院留学準備コース（準修士課程） / NCUK Pre-Masters Programme (PMP)
NCUK is a leading British education organisation working in a rapidly expanding number of countries. NCUK is owned by 11 leading universities in the UK and our aim is to provide a range of cost-effective pathway programmes that prepare international students for study outside their home country. Since the company was established more than 23 years ago, 20,000 students from all over the world have progressed to our partner universities.
We have been working with beo for seven years and we are very proud to be offering the NCUK Pre-Masters Programme (PMP) and Pre-Masters programme in partnership with the beo centres in Tokyo and Osaka. With beo, we have a partner with extensive experience in Japan and elsewhere and a reputation for quality and excellence.
Our owner universities oversee the academic content and quality of the learning and teaching on all NCUK programmes. Students studying NCUK programmes at our delivery centres across the world – including Japan – enjoy the same quality of learning experience as they would at any of the NCUK owner universities.
Merits of Postgraduate Study in the UK
The UK education system is respected and recognised all over the world and a postgraduate qualification from the UK is a passport to success. Students completing a Masters level course will be able to improve their fluency in English and improve their job prospects. Many British universities have strong links with business and industry that are directly relevant to the world of work. Most UK Masters programmes can be completed in one year which also makes it an affordable study option for international students.
Postgraduate Progression with NCUK’s Pre-Masters Programme
There is a long tradition in the UK of welcoming postgraduate students from all around the world – around 25% of the UK university student body are from outside of the UK. NCUK’s Pre-Masters Programme has been designed specifically to prepare international students to succeed on a Masters course in the UK and to ensure that they get maximum value from their investment in postgraduate study. It includes specialised English for Academic Purposes (EAP) training and an introduction to the research methodology skills needed for success at Masters and PhD level.
NCUK’s Pre-Masters Programme is a modular programme and some of the key components include:-
- Debate, discussion and presentation skills
- Manipulating and analysing data
- Research project planning
- ICT skills
- Dissertation writing – producing a correctly referenced piece of academic writing
Many postgraduate pathway programmes offer very limited choices, usually to one or two universities. However the NCUK programme gives students opportunities is a wide range of both universities and courses. In fact, successful completion of an NCUK programme guarantees students a place on an appropriate course at a partner university in the UK.
